BioSalma has worked for two years to ensure its entire supply chain is certified.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWe\u2019re delighted that Swedish consumers shopping for Omega-3 supplements have a responsibly-sourced option,\u201d said Inger Melander, ASC Commercial Marketing Manager for Northern Europe. \u201cThis is a reminder that the products of aquaculture are not only found in the seafood aisle, but however they\u2019re used it\u2019s vital that shoppers have confidence that they were produced in a way that minimises the environmental and social impacts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;We\u2019re very excited that we are first out with a dual certified supplement product, but we also hope that our launch can make more of our colleagues in the industry aware that there are sustainable alternatives and that they also find solutions that contribute to protecting our fish stocks for the future,\u201d said Emil Old\u00e9n, BioSalma CEO.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Omega-3 fats are a group of essential unsaturated fats that the body needs to stay healthy, and are particularly linked to heart health. Two of these fats, EPA and DHA, are found in high quantities in oily fish such as salmon.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"do-not-expand\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\">BioSalma\u2019s certified product can be found on Apotea.se and in selected ICA stores.
