{"id":1091198,"date":"2019-04-18T09:19:17","date_gmt":"2019-04-18T07:19:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asc-aqua.org\/?post_type=news&#038;p=91198&#038;source_id=91198&#038;target_id=1091198"},"modified":"2024-10-16T10:18:46","modified_gmt":"2024-10-16T08:18:46","slug":"msc-asc-wins-grand-prix-for-french-consumer-campaign","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/asc-aqua.org\/news\/msc-asc-wins-grand-prix-for-french-consumer-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"MSC and ASC Win Grand Prix for French Consumer Campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"block wysiwyg\">\n\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col-12\">\n\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><strong>The Aquaculture Stewardship Council<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>(ASC) and Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) have been awarded the Grand Prix for Social Responsibility for their joint campaign Semaine de la Peche Responsable, the annual French consumer campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">On 9 April, the Grand Prix award was presented to the ASC and MSC during a ceremony in Paris at PRODURABLE, the yearly fair for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In competition with 48 other brands the ASC and MSC were selected as winners for best NGO label, in recognition of<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Semaine de la Peche Responsable&#8217;s engagement with numerous brands and distributors in order to mobilise the public to support and sustainable fisheries and responsible fish farming.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI\u2019m delighted that we have received the Grand Prix for our joint campaign with MSC in France. It is a tremendous achievement,\u201d said Esther Luiten, ASC\u2019s Commercial Director.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cEngaging with partners and consumers is key. The Semaine de le Peche Responsable campaign is an excellent opportunity for us to inform consumers about responsible aquaculture and let them know that by choosing ASC-labelled seafood they help protect the environment and care for workers and local communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"do-not-expand\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Award for labels working towards sustainable development<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The PRODURABLE event has been a platform for sustainable solutions for over a decade.
