The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) has released its auditor training schedule for 2016. The schedule includes a varied programme of courses available across three continents to meet the surging demand for farm certification.<\/b><\/p>\n

The ASC provides auditor training courses for those who wish to become independent auditors. Successful completion of the course, including a mandatory exam to test each participant’s understanding of the certification scheme, is required before a candidate auditor is fully qualified to assess farms against the ASC standards. <\/span><\/p>\n

The first three courses will be held in April for the ASC Salmon, Freshwater Trout and Bivalve standards. Each session will be dedicated to a single species and will take place at ASC headquarters in Utrecht, the Netherlands.<\/span><\/p>\n

In June and July, training courses for the ASC Bivalve, Salmon, Shrimp and Tilapia standards will take place in Santiago Chile, South America.<\/span><\/p>\n

In September, training courses for the Shrimp, Tilapia and Pangasius standards will be held in Bangkok, Thailand.<\/span><\/p>\n

Registrations are on a first come first served basis. More courses, including in-company training, may be added to the diary according to demand.<\/span><\/p>\n
